“It’s not just golf…it’s about life”

Issue off the World Golf Foundation and the PGA, The First Tee presently includes more than 200 chapters, mostly in the United States. Montreal is the only Canadian Chapter. Comité Jeunesse N.D.G, in collaboration with Sports Montréal and the CDN/NDG borough, work to offer youth a program that offers them the opportunity to learn, through the game of golf, essential values to their development into young mature adults.

The First Tee of Montreal is administered by Sports Montréal. Since 2003, Sports Montréal in partnership with Comité Jeunesse NDG offer the program as a “affiliated satellite site”. The First Tee lessons, given at the Manoir situated at 5319 ave. Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, are administered by Comité Jeunesse NDG.

Levels offered by Comité Jeunesse NDG:

T.A.R.G.E.T – (7-12 year olds)

PLAYER – (7-8 year olds)

PAR – (9 and up)

The person in charge of this satellite site is Derek Walsh.

Sports Montreal also offers The First Tee program. The activities are only available in the summer at Sports Montreal’s driving range located at 4235 Viau, in collaboration with the Rosemont – La Petite-Patrie burrow.

PLAYER – (7-8 year olds)

PAR – (9 and up)

BIRDIE – (11 and up)

EAGLE – (13 and up)
